Raniag Festival
It is Halloween Season but in Vigan, Halloween is not covered by fear and a trembling effect of paranoia but it is full of lights and celebration.
This is how Vigan welcomes Halloween. It preludes the Halloween with festivities and glamorous parades. This festival is called the "RANIAG" TWILIGHT FESTIVAL. Raniag is an Ilocano word that is equivalent to shine, light or glare.
The Raniag Twilight Festival is actually a series of activities and it is a week-long celebration prior to All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day.
